NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

WAUKESHA METRO TRANSIT

 

Create Route 16 to Serve the Waukesha Training Center

And Protect the Planet

 

A public hearing has been scheduled by the City of Waukesha Transit Commission for Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 6:30pm in Room 207 at Waukesha City Hall, 201 Delafield Street, Waukesha, for the purpose of considering the creation of a new route to serve the new location of the Waukesha Training Center and Protect the Planet.

 

At the hearing, the Waukesha Transit Commission Board and staff will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the proposed changes in service.  Comments may also be submitted in writing up to the date and time of the public hearing to Waukesha Metro Transit, Public Hearing Comments, 2311 Badger Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188.

 

Any person that has a qualifying disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires the hearing to be in an accessible format should contact the Transit Director at the address above or telephone 262/524-3594 by no later than September 20, 2010 so that arrangements may be made to accommodate your request.

 

Proposed Service Additions – Waukesha Metro Transit

A new route will be created to serve the relocated Waukesha Training Center and Protect the Planet.  The facility will be located at the southeast corner of Airport Rd. & Northview Rd.  Route 16 will leave the Downtown Transit Center and follow St. Paul Av., Moreland Blvd. and Airport Rd. to the site.  Returning to the Transit Center, Route 16 will follow Northview Rd., Pewaukee Rd., and North St.  This route will operate peak periods Monday-Friday only.  The route will begin operation as soon as possible after all approvals are obtained.
