West Ave- Mountain Ave Sanitary Sewer & Water Main Installation

Project Update: December 1, 2017

All roadway work is now complete, which includes asphalt and concrete paving work in St. Paul, West Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue, and Glenwood Drive. Pavement marking was also completed earlier today.

The water main river crossing is fully underway. The aqua-barrier dam is in place with bypass culverts and pumping, and the contractor plans to have the water main and casing pipe installed halfway across the river by the end of today. They are likely working part of this weekend as well and plan to finish the crossing by the end of next week. Please contact me with any questions.

The West Ave to Mountain Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Water Main project is planned to begin during the week of August 28th.  The project will include the replacement of water main and sanitary  sewer as shown on the attached exhibit. For the residents on Glenwood  Drive, street parking will be restricted due to the narrow width of the  road, and access to private driveways will be very limited during the  project. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience, and the  following temporary parking options will be allowed during construction:

On the east side of N. West Avenue (400 thru 600 block) and either side of Park Avenue (400 block): The current parking restrictions will be lifted to allow for long term  parking, including overnight. However please note, vehicles still must  be moved every 72 hours (3 days).

On the west side of N. West Avenue, parking restrictions will remain the same.

There  may also be temporary disruption of your water service during  connections to the new water main, however you will be given prior  notification. The entire project is expected to be completed by  mid-November and we ask for your patience during this time.
