Public Notices

Public Notices are posted for several reasons by various departments.

The Community Development department posts Public Notices for several reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Rezoning
  • Planned Unit Developments
  • Conditional Uses
  • Board of Zoning Appeals
  • Land Use Amendments
  • Sign Appeal
  • TIF Creation and Amendment
Public Notices and Hearings give an opportunity for any person, whether a resident, business owner, or concerned citizen, to get informed and address the Commission, Board, or Common Council on an issue that may affect a person's interest, property, or other possessions. To aid in making fair and prudent decisions, these Commissions, Boards, and the Common Council needs as much information as is readily available from all sources, which includes the community and citizens impacted by a proposed action.

The Community Development department posts Public Notices in the local Newspaper (The Freeman) and in City Hall on the first floor by the Clerk/Treasurer's department.  For additional information, please contact our department by calling (262) 524-3750 or email us at CommDev@waukesha-wi.gov
